Soft Skills

I found an article that is about "soft skills", the author describes them as "people skills" and the importance of them. Unfortunately some soft skills are really not something you can learn. Curiously, most people that do not possess the trait they lack, do not even realize they lack it. A good example is "common sense", not really a learn-able/teachable subject. People without common sense rarely have the common sense to notice.

  1. I agree that common sense is not as common as it should be. I like the class, which happens to be offered at CSN, Phil 102: Reasoning and Critical Thinking. I wish this class was part of the required core, anyone looking to improve themselves personally or professionally should look into this class for enrichment. Perhaps it could be used as an elective if it does not satisfy a requirement.

  2. I do not believe that the people who are without so much common sense even grasp that they are the one's lacking. (Just my opinion) I am always on the lookout for personal growth and I find the older I get , the more I "get it"
